Kristy Magee

Kristy Magee (she/her/hers) is a Senior Advisor and an Academic Success Coach at KU Edwards. She has over 15 years of experience in higher education in areas of career development, advising, success coaching, student support services, and instruction at academic institutions including Rockhurst University, Mount Aloysius College, Pittsburg State University, and Wayne State University. Kristy enjoys cheering on her students, helping them overcome challenges, and connecting them with resources they need to succeed. Kristy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emporia State University and a Master of Arts in Communication from Pittsburg State University. Professional certifications include the NCDA Career Development Facilitator (CDF) and the NASPA Certified Peer Educator Facilitator, with a special interest in appreciative and holistic advising processes. Kristy enjoys attending theatre and fine arts events in her free time with her partner and children.
