Jenny Parr

Jenny received a bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University in International Relations and Spanish with a Latin American Studies minor. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in English Linguistics. She taught college- level English courses for several years before becoming an academic advisor. She loves being an academic advisor because of the one-on-one connections with students and having impact on their academic success. She tries to meet them where their needs are and to be the person in whom they know they can turn to for help or just to share a success story. She has four grown children, two grandbabies, and two cats, that keep her very busy. In her spare time, she loves all things Sci-Fi, especially Star Trek, building Lego, cross stitching, origami, playing video games, and listening to audio books.
