Nominations Information

Students, if you feel that you have had a positive experience with your advisor while at KU, we encourage you to take a few minutes to fill out the Advisor of the Year Nomination form below. Reviewers will be looking for advisors who: 

• create a caring and inclusive environment for students
• help their students develop academically and personally
• are well-versed in academic programs and policy and can communicate them clearly to students
• are aware of campus resources and connect students with them
• set a quality example for the KU advising community in their work and service

Faculty and staff can also nominate advisors. All nominees must be employed by the Jayhawk Academic Advising unit in Academic Success.

Nominations are due by April 19 and the recipient of the award will be announced in late May. In the nomination form below you will have the option to type your nomination into a text box, upload a Word or PDF document, or both. You also have the option to upload another letter of support from someone other than yourself.
