Biography

Kali (KAY-lee) is an academic success coach for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences serving undergraduate students admitted to the Online Anthropology and Online Psychology programs. She completed her B.S. in Sociology from West Texas A&M University and a Graduate Certificate in Academic Advising from Angelo State University. Kali also completed her Masters in Education in Student Development and Leadership in Higher Education from Angelo State University this past December. Prior to becoming a Jayhawk, she has worked in higher education in various student support services and academic advising roles, providing developmental, proactive, and intrusive academic advising assistance, guidance, and support in serving non-traditional and first-generation students. She is driven by her personal journey as a first-generation college student and understands the unique challenges that students from similar backgrounds face. This further drives her commitment and passion to serving as an advocate, mentor, and guiding light for those embarking on their own academic journeys. Every student has untapped potential, and it’s her privilege to help them realize it. By tailoring academic plans, offering support and guidance, and fostering a sense of belonging in the online learning environment, she aims to pave the way for every student to excel academically and personally.
