Make an appointment
Who should make an appointment?
The UAC advises students admitted to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) with less than 90 hours who are:
- Still deciding on a major.
-
Considering a specific CLAS major but:
- are not yet eligible to declare/apply, or
- are still exploring.
- Are pre-professional. That is, they are currently taking CLAS course work in hopes of being admitted to one of the professional schools (e.g., Business, Education, Pharmacy, etc.).
- Not admitted to the University Honors Program. Honors students are advised by the Honors Program.
CLAS students who have successfully declared a major are advised by their academic department. Students admitted to professional schools are advised by their respective schools.
Many schools and College departments offer advising for students not yet admitted to their programs, especially during peak enrollment.

Your appointment
When calling to make an appointment, you should:

- Know your KUID number or have it in front of you.
- Know who you want to meet with (if you have a specific advisor in mind).
- Write down the date and time of the appointment, as well as the advisor's name.

When coming to your appointment, you should:
